2022
The Birth of an Idea
Qoray’s journey began with focused research and development into locally manufactured electric vehicle infrastructure. The year was marked by the development of Light electric vehicles and Charge station prototypes. These early efforts laid the groundwork for a locally driven and technically sound mobility solution tailored for Africa’s unique challenges.
2023
From Vision to Reality
Qoray executed sales contracts with established Chinese Original Equipment Manufacturers, signaling the formal entry into electric mobility deployment. The year's highlight was the successful launch of the first commercial electric vehicle charging station in Lagos, Nigeria.
2024
Scaling Infrastructure, Deepening Impact
Qoray scaled its infrastructure and impact. 11 units of direct current (DC) and alternating current(AC) chargers were deployed across its headquarters and other strategic locations in Nigeria. The company assembled 120 electric tricycles and commissioned Nigeria's first DC fast-charging.
2025
National Footprint, Global Ambition
Qoray's activities in 2025 demonstrate a bold move into nationwide visibility and operational excellence. A fleet of 31 electric vehicles was delivered for what has become the largest EV-based ride-hailing service in Nigeria. Qoray also set a Guinness World Record for the longest tuk-tuk journey, showcasing both product reliability and brand strength.
